Presentation: Chloé Galibert-Laîné and Gala Hernández.

Remy by Guillaume Lillo (France, 2018, 30min)

(Self) Exhibitions by Florencia Aliberti (Spain, 2015, 14min)

Sitting in Darkness by Graeme Arnfield (United Kingdom, 2015, 15min)

To close the conference we propose the screening of three short-films that use User-Generated Content by adopting very different strategies. While Guillaume Lillo diverts videos from YouTube into a tragicomic fiction in a subjective camera using a first-person voice-over, Florencia Aliberti builds constellations of eximate images from teenagers’ webcams to identify the gestures and words of an overexposed youth online and Graeme Arnfield tries to identify a past event based on the traces that his witnesses have left on the Web. How and why did these artists appropriate these images to create their films? The directors will be present to discuss with the audience after the screening.
